We learned yesterday that supposedly the potential buyers of our house were unqualified for a loan - which caused them pull out of the deal. I guess they were qualified at first (my first question to our realtor when we learned there was an offer), but they were told the day before closing that they were unqualified. Why we were told a different story? I don't know. But, we have no choice to believe this one. It does make Justin and I feel a little bit better know that they weren't supposedly just backing out for no reason. But our house is still not sold...
Our house now sits on the incredibly slow market. A couple of people have walked through it, but have commented that it looks small and dark (due to the fact that there is no furniture or lights). Sigh. After a lot of reflection, we both feel now that God is trying to teach us patience with this and to rely on Him (SOOOOO much easier said then done). Instead of frequent prayers asking God to motivate someone to buy our house, we are now praying that we have peace about the situation and trust Him. We know that He is sovereign and good. This will all work out in the long run and we will be stronger as a result. Thanks to those people who have been thinking and praying for us.
If you know someone who wants to rent or buy a house...
