Last night Justin surprised me and took me to the Blazer game! We are HUGE Blazers fans and really enjoy watching the play. We have enjoyed watching the persevere throughout this injury-prone season and look forward to the team being healthy relatively soon. :)
So, we jetted out of the house after I was done teaching yesterday. In fact, Justin yelled "it's 5:30pm" at the end of my last lesson, reminding me not to go over on time. :) My parents sweetly offered to watch Ellie so we could avoid babysitter costs and we were on our way. When we got to the Rose Garden, we were like two kids at the candy shop. We were giddy!! :) Our seats (that we bought on craigslist) were 11 rows behind the Blazers bench. In fact, we sat next to Brandon Roy's friends and saw his family. Um, I was star-struck. :) hahaha! Unbelievable!!
Another awesome part of the evening was it was "80's night." If you know Justin, this was a HUGE bonus. Thankfully we didn't know about this prior to arriving or I am pretty sure he would have fully dressed the part (as other fans did). All fans were given a sweatband, which Justin proudly wore until we got home. (I love him!) It was awesome!
Unfortunately the Blazers lost, but that didn't spoil our night at all. It was awesome to be that close to the action and be among so many fans. I don't know if we can afford to go again any time soon, but it was a definite treat that we'll save up for again. So much fun!!
PS. Sorry that the photos are blurry. They came from my cell phone, but it gives you the idea!

SO fun!!! Way to go, you two!! Justin, you cease to amaze me at how well you know my sister and how good you are at romancing her (even by wearing your sweatband all the way home - its the little things, right?)
Love the pictures!!
What a fun fun fun date!!!! Score, on the great seats too! We have been to a couple games in the nosebleed section and it is NOT the same! Love the sweatbands too!
